Solved byMar 06, 2012 05:41 [b] I am new to this forum, however, hope someone may be able to help me. I have purchased a new HP Pavillion Phoenix 1010a Computer which had a pre installed version of PowerDirector 8.0.4020 on it. It had an upgrade arrow which when clicked on took me to the Cyberlink web site offering me the option to upgrade to PowerDirector 10 Ultra. I purchase the downloadable upgrade and followed the instructions to save the dowload to my desktop and then run the installation from there. Problem is that when I start to run the installation, it says that it can't find an old version of PowerDirector on the system and asks for the activation key of the old version. As HP do not supply the activation key for the old version, I am unable to install the upgrade. Any advice would be most appreciated.

 My guess is you'll need to seek a refund on the upgrade and purchase the full build. CyberLink (download sale) has a 30 day return policy - so getting your money back and then purchasing again shouldn't be a bother. Might take a few days.

Thanks Mate, I have lodged a support ticket and will wait for a response from Cyberlink. If required, I will do as you suggest and apply for a refund and purchase a full version. Thanks for your quick response.
